The Gathering Edinburgh 2009.
A celebration of the contribution made by the clans to culture and history of Scotland.
On the 25th and 26th July 2009 Edinburgh will witness one of the largest clan gatherings in history.
Holyrood Park will host a magnificent Highland Games over the two days, then on the Saturday evening Clan members will parade up the historic Royal Mile and take their seats on the castle esplanade for a spectacular Clan Pageant .

The Homecoming Lecture in association with the Clan MacLeod
Award-winning journalist, broadcaster and author, Professor James Hunter’s lecture will focus on the themes of emigration, the diaspora and Homecoming at Dunvegan Castle on the 17th July at 7pm. This will be followed by drinks and canapés in the castle’s dining room. Chief Hugh MacLeod of MacLeod and other members of the Associated Clan MacLeod Societies will be attending this event.
